- The Campaign for Carolina: For All Kind aims to raise $4.25 billion by December 31, 2022, to foster an innovation generation prepared to lead the world to a better future through research and scholarship, example and ethos. This campaign is the largest in the Southeast and second largest among public institutions in the nation.
- Higher Expectations is the UNC System Office’s 2017-2022 strategic plan that focuses on access, student success, affordability and efficiency, economic impact and community engagement, and excellent and diversity institutions.
- Three Zeros Initiative was enacted in 2016 by then-Chancellor Carol L. Folt to move the campus toward water neutrality, zero waste and greenhouse gas neutrality.
